Creek Side territory

Cardinal halted at a little clearing with a small group of white-tailed deer. There were two does, a fawn and a buck, all completely oblivious of the wolves' presence as they munched on the grass. After gazing over them a few times, he turned to Scar, "Alright, I'll go to the other side of the clearing, when I'm there you scare them in my direction, ok?" The large male says.

Scar glanced at the deer, then at Cardinal and said "ya" as she got ready.

The large male nodded to Scar, then quietly made his way through the undergrowth around the clearing. As he reached the other side, he crouched low, awaiting the deer stampede.

Scar stood under the grass ready to scare them. She bolted out in front of then and growled and made then run fast towards cardinal. But the buck ran up to her and kicked me hard, sending her flying and hit a tree unconcious.

Cardinal tensed as Scar began to chase the large prey animals, swishing his tail from side to side as he concentrated. He let out a horrified gasp as the black pigmented female was kicked by the buck. Leaping from his hiding place he released a snarl, causing the deer to scatter into the forest. The male then made his way to her side, nudging her gently with his muzzle. "Hey...You alright?" He asked hopefully.

Scar layed motionless, she moaned as a thin trickle of blood flowed from her mouth. She couldn't move.

Cardinal nudged the injured female once more, letting out a soft whine. Tossing back his head, he released a howl calling to Moon, the Medic would surely know how to help her.

Moon's ears perked at the howl. He turned his head towards the sound, picked up a big wad of herbs and berries and bolted off in the direction.

Scar lay motionless.

Cardinal ran his tongue across the ebony female's ear gently. "Hang in there Scar, help is on the way." He murmured gently.

Moon arived with a big bundle of herbs, he looked down at scar with hugh eyes then dropped the bundle and bolted off again. He ran to where he was keeping his supplies, and grab another bundle then bolted right back. Moon circled scar several times slowly, looking at every wound on her. He slowly walked up to her and gently put his paw on her chest and pressed down a little. The ribs moved. Moon glanced up at Cardinal, then back down at Scar. He grabbed a berry and a herb leaf, he chewed the leaf to a mush, then crushed the juice out of the berry and mixed it with the leaf mush. He circled scar one more time then applyed the leaf/berrie mush onto her scratches and cuts on her body. He grabbed some poppy-seeds and put them in Scars mouth for her to chew, hoping that sould help the pain.

Scar didnt move while Moon put medince on her, but her jaw chewed on the poppy-seeds every once in a while.

Cardinal waited silently and anxiously as Moon treated Scar. The large male paced back and forth before the two nervously hoping that the female would be alright. "Moon? How is she?" Cardinal asked, pausing before the Medic and his patient.

Moon stared down at scar as cardinal asked the question. Then he turned and stood in front of him. "Well..." Moon started, " She should be fine..." then he whispered, "...i hope...." Moon padded over to scar and circled her once then he said, " she just wont ever be the same......"

Moon looked up at cardinal. " ... her ribs are broken, when they heal they'll be crooked and faced in.." he said, "...and she can't get a very big breathe because of the ribs..." Moon walked to the back of scar and gently put his paw on her back bone. " ... also theres a bend in her back that cant be fixed... which will affect her breathing.." ,Moon finished.

Moon looked up at Cardinal, the looked at the ground with his ears flat. He wished he could have done something more, but he can't..

Cardinal lowered head head and flattened his ears sorrowfully, letting out a soft whine."Why'd this have to happen...she did nothing to deserve this..." He growled in a low voice. He then turned to Moon dipping his head to him respectfully. "Thank you for your help Moon." Cardinal said gratefully. "She is our packmate, so we will help her though this. But how do we get her back to the densite?"

Exxon had heard the howl for help a few moments earlier and was making her way though the undergrowth towards where she had heard the sound coming from out of pure curiosity. The ash furred female had known a new pack had started living her, now was the perfect time get a look a them. Her stumpy tail twitched as she trotted onward.

Moon nodded to Cardinal, Then when over to Scar. Moon rubbed his head against Scar then nuzzled her with his nose, trying to get her to stand. Scar hesitated the slowly pushed her self from the ground, shakly. Moon walked under scar the picked her up on his back, then walked over to Cardinal waiting for him to lead the way.

Cardinal felted a slight pang of jealousy as Moon nuzzled Scar, he narrowed his amber eyes slightly. Realizing he was being ridiculous, he shook out his pelt and began leading his small pack back to the densite.

As Exxon came upon the small group of wolves, she remained hidden by a few large trees. Peeking around one, the skinny she-wolf recognized the sight and scent of the white male who she had found in her territory before.

Moon followed Cardinal back to the densite. He looked over his shoulder at Scar on his back, making sure shes ok.

Cardinal halted at the camp's entrance, waiting for the other two wolves to pass by him. "We didn't manage to catch anything when we went out earlier." He said to Moon, "I'm going to go back out, see if I can get a few hares." The large male then trotted in the opposite direction.

Exxon peered out from behind a tree, her left ear giving a little twitch. She realized that on of the wolves was injured, and being carried by the male she had met before.

Moon walked over to a shady tree and layed her close to the trunk of the tree. He nuzzled Scar getting her to relax.

Cardinal's nose twitched slightly as he caught the scent of rabbit. Silently he crept forward carefully stepping over dead leaves. The long-eared rodent's back was turned, and it was nibbling the seeds from a pine cone. His tail swished once before he rushed forward, biting down on the back of its neck and killing it before it could make a sound. As he picked up his prey, a small clump of snow fell from the sky, landing on his nose.

Scar moved around and her tail twitched. Moon gave her some water to drink and as she drank it, moon grabbed a few berries from nearby.

Dropping the rabbit, Cardinal lifted his muzzle once more as he attempted to find more prey. Suddenly, hearing the snap of a twig, his ears swivel in the direction of the noise. When he glanced over he saw a skinny little deer fawn. Probably abandoned by its mother, he thought to himself before rushing over and biting down on its throat killing it quickly. He began dragging it back to the densite through the thickening snow covering.

Exxon shivered slightly, the cold getting though her thin pelt easily. She watched the two remaining wolves silently, wanting to join their pack but not knowing how to approach them.

As Moon went to grab more herbs, Scar tryed to stand. She struggled. But finally got up, but with pain. She plopped back down and drank some water that moon had given her.

As he entered the camp, Cardinal made his way over to where Scar was resting dropping the little fawn before her. "You and Moon go on and eat, I left a rabbit out there." He says gently, nuzzling her chin slightly before heading out once more to retrieve his prey.

Making up her mind, Exxon entered the densite loudly crunching on leaves and fresh snow as she alerted the small pack to her presence.

As soon as Scar heard the leaves crunch, she jumped up and yelped. She turned to the wolf and growled, still in pain.

Moon turned and stood by Scar to protect her.

Cardinal dropped his muzzle into the snow, sniffing about for his hare. Finding it slightly buried, he grabs the long-eared rodent and began making his way back.

"Hey now, no need to act so defensive." Exxon woofed passively, halting before the two. "I come in peace." The skinny female wasn't looking for a fight, the trek from her territory to this packs' had tired her out quite a bit.
